Getting Started

There is no registration. Your account is created the first time you make a profile from the Kiosk, or the first time you join a game — whichever happens first.

The Guardians is a Discord RPG built and run by Max — the combat engine, the world of Valestia, the 81 story and side missions, all of it.

Everything on this site describes the bot as it actually runs on the server the bot lives in. Reward amounts, drop rates, daily caps, prices and which panels are up are set by Max, and the defaults listed here are what he starts from.

The Kiosk

The bot uses the ! prefix for typed commands, but most of the game is panel-driven: Max places persistent button panels in the channels and you play by clicking them. The most important one is the Kiosk — your personal hub.

Your first hour

1 — Make a profile. Open the Kiosk, create your character, and spend your points. You start with 10.

2 — Set up two builds. It is free. Put an attacker in slot 1 and a tank in slot 2. Apply the right one before a fight.

3 — Fight something. !duel @player for a duel, !hunt to farm a region, or whatever panel is up on the server.

4 — Craft one starter piece. A Strength Ring or Cardboard Boots costs 4,000 OIL and changes every fight you take afterwards.

Open My Stats before any fight. It shows your build after gear and enhancement are applied. It is the only number that matters, and it is not the number in your stat slot.

Stat slots and builds

You have 3 stat slots. Each one stores a full build: a STR / AGI / CON spread and two gear pieces. Gear stacks on top of the slot — a slot with STR 8 plus a Strength Ring is STR 9 in combat.

A working set: slot 1 STR/AGI for duels and FFA · slot 2 CON parry tank for Horde, Missions and sieges · slot 3 high-AGI dodge build.
